New Testament passages such as 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, 42-49, and Romans 5:12-21 portray Adam as the representative of a fallen, broken, death-bound humanity that finds redemption in the saving work of Christ. This comparison invites us to seek an understanding of the gains of our salvation through an examination of the losses experienced in our expulsion from Eden. In this class we will first study relevant scripture passages through this lens before engaging major historical and contemporary perspectives.
Sundays after worship at 11:15am in the Pastors' Gallery. For youth and adults.
