In this session, students will explore the symbolic figures known as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as described in the Book of Revelation (Revelation 6:1–8). We will examine each horseman—Conquest, War, Famine, and Death—considering their imagery, color symbolism, and the events they signify within apocalyptic literature. The session will also address the historical context of Revelation, common interpretive approaches (literal, symbolic, historical, and theological), and the enduring impact of the Four Horsemen on art, culture, and religious thought. By the end of the class, students will have a clearer understanding of how these figures contribute to the book’s broader message of judgment, struggle, and ultimate hope. Led by Charlotte Elia in the Pastors’ Gallery.
