J. Scott Crannell, Associate Pastor
Having grown up in Tampa, FL, Scott Crannell attended Georgia Tech earning a degree in Computer Science. He is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and was called in July 2007 to begin his ministry at Chester Presbyterian. Scott’s parents live in Atlanta and Tampa, and his twin sister lives in Philadelphia, PA.
Hank Postel, Temporary Supply Pastor
The Rev. Dr. Hank Postel is serving as our
Supply Pastor. Hank
has served as the pastor in churches in New York and Maryland. He
retired in April 2006 after serving Darnestown Presbyterian Church, Darnestown
Maryland for almost 24 years. Hank also taught college for a time after receiving
a PhD in Old Testament studies. Hank and
his wife Susan now live in Richmond.
Aubrey L. Lindsey, Director of Music
Aubrey L. Lindsey has been Music Director/Organist for Chester Presbyterian Church for over thirty years and is responsible for the coordination of our music program that includes handbell, children, youth and adult choirs. He personally directs two of the choirs, the Chancel Choir which is responsible for the weekly liturgy and the Chester Presbyterian Festival Choir which is a concert choir that forms the nucleus for an annual Weekend of Music which attracts singers from throughout the Commonwealth. In addition to the Weekend of Music, the choir tours internationally having performed at Cathedral Notre Dame in Paris, at the 60th anniversary celebration of D Day in Normandy, and at various locations throughout Scotland and England.
Linn Coghill, Membership Coordinator
Linn guides new members through the church membership process and coordinates many of the fellowship activities of our church. She is a graduate of East Carolina University School of Art and worked many years in television and advertising. Linn and her husband, Tom, have one son and have been members of Chester Presbyterian since 1992.
Carolyn Carter, Administrative Assistant
Carolyn has been the anchor of our main office since 1995 and is always there to assist CPC staff, members and guests. She attended VCU and earned her degree in Business Administration. As well as being involved in the life of CPC, Carolyn is very active with her own church family at Chesterfield Baptist Church.
Elizabeth Prillaman, CPC PreSchool Director
In the summer of 2007, Elizabeth Prillaman took over as director of CPC Preschool. Elizabeth earned degrees from Virginia Tech in psychology and child development. She has held teaching and administrative positions in other preschool and non-profit programs. Elizabeth and her husband, Bob, have four children and are active members of Chester Presbyterian Church.
